There’s a natural capacity we all have to just arrive here, in this moment, unadorned and unconcerned with our place or status. The world loves us and every single thing is just as it is. It’s tremendously nourishing to see this.
When I walk my dog I watch her change from moment to moment: big dog, important dog, fluffy soft dog, scared of the cement mixer dog, hungry dog, curious dog, tired dog. I’m like this too, although I make an effort to maintain a consistent me. It’s nice to know that self is always coming and going, never stuck, changing like the weather.
