Monday evening practice at Pacific Zen Institute's Santa Rosa Zen Center includes zen meditation, a dharma talk, tea, discussion and a short sutra service. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary. We meet Monday evenings from 7-9pm — please arrive by 6:50pm to get settled. Our speakers include Pacific Zen Institute director, John Tarrant, Roshi, who is the speaker on the first Monday of each month, as well others, including Jon Joseph, Jacqueline Kramer, Rachel Boughton, and David Parks-Ramage.

Sunday Mornings at the Creek: Sunday mornings at Santa Rosa Creek Zen Center are from 10:30am to noon and feature egrets on the creek and morning light through the big windows as well as meditation with a koan, a short talk, conversation, tea and a bit of something to eat. It's companionable and open to anyone. If you would like meditation instruction, there is a free introductory
class on the first Monday of each month at 6pm or email santarosazen@gmail.com for individual instruction, if you want to learn to meditate on a Sunday we can arrange to do that at 9:30am. You are also welcome to just come and learn as you go along.

 

 

Sunday June 23, 9am to 2pm
Half day meditation retreat with PZI Dharma leader Jon Joseph. One on one practice conversations with Jon available for those who would like the opportunity to talk about their meditation and koan work. Bring your own lunch, tea, we gots it.
Sunday June 30, 10:30am to noon
Meditation, hosted by John and Flinn Rauck. Birds and flowers meditate along with humans. A zen koan keeps us company. Come, you will be welcome. 
Sunday July 7, 10:30am to noon
Meditation, hosted by Rachel Boughton. On Sunday mornings the center is quiet and cool. The birds come to meditate with us, songbirds, wild turkeys, perhaps an egret on the creek. Meditation fills the space, we are companions. Come along and join us. 

There will be a regular half day meditation once a month on the 4th Sunday of each month.​ Everyone is welcome, no meditation experience necessary.
